About Me

picture of Jeremy Boyd, August 2008I’m a Lead Software Engineer at HomeAway, which connects travelers with whole homes for their vacation needs. Previously, I was the Lead Developer at Experiment Engine, which is now a part of Optimizely’s Program Management offering. Before that, I worked at MapMyFitness, which was acquired by Under Armour in 2013. I hold a BA in Philosophy (2008) and an MS in Software Engineering (2016), both from The University of Texas at Austin.

I’m a founding Director of the PyTexas Foundation, a 501(c)(3) Texas nonprofit corporation organized to support the Python community in Texas. We do this primarily via the PyTexas conference, which I co-chair. I’m mostly in charge of funding, so if you’re interested in getting in front of 200+ Texas Python developers, I’m interested in talking to you. I also help out with the Austin Web Python User Group.

You can get in touch with me via Twitter or old-fashioned email (my.first.name AT this.domain). LinkedIn is a lesser third option.

I am lucky to be partnered with an amazing wife, Lydia, in Austin, Texas. We have one daughter. I like to play softball, eat lots of tacos, and drink beer.
